Job Description

Our client is seeking a Concierge to oversee the day to day running of a luxury residential apartment building in The City. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 07:00-19:00 and Saturday from 08:00-13:00.

Responsibilities:

- Inspect building and property grounds to check for and report maintenance issues.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors. While work is taking place, monitor progress and ensure that works are being carried out as specified, and to the right quality standards.
- Ensure that the property is clean, tidy and secure at all times.
- Carry out safety checks to ensure that the building complies with health and safety legislation
- Carry out maintenance checks and report problems as they arise.
- Coordinate building deliveries.
- Keep in close contact with The managing agents at all times, update regularly and report problems as they arise.
- Ensure residents are kept fully informed of any situation that may affect them at all times.
- Liaise with authorities such as the Police when an incident occurs on site.
- During evacuations, assist emergency response teams in assessing building condition, shutting off utilities, vacating premises.
- Remove and dispose of any junk mail.
- Ensure that rubbish is collected and if this is not undertaken, follow up with the Council.
- At the end of each working week, send a written report to advising of the activities on site.
- Report any works being carried out in individual flats to The managing agents.
- As and when required, liaise with residents and take in deliveries on an individual basis.
- Programme entrance fobs for individual residents when an appropriate person at The managing agents has confirmed payment has been made.
- Deliver notification letters to tenants from The managing agents as and when required.
- Where a tenant is moving in or moving out, assist where possible and ensure that removal men/contractors do not overload the lift.
- Dress in a presentable, clean and tidy manner and be pleasant and helpful to residents, guests and contractors at all times.

Previous experience working in residential apartments is essential.
