Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a day porter to join their team at a luxury mixed use development in West London.

Hours or work:
Monday - Friday
8am - 6pm (with a 1 hour lunch break)

Main duties:

Be in full uniform at all times, and deliver a warm polite welcome to residents and their visitors. Please note that personal mobile phones need to be kept in the locker during shift hours.

Assist and respond to residents' queries and contractors as and when necessary, including providing residents the gas and electricity meters, to be done in a professional and helpful manner.

To monitor all CCTV cameras in the development, respond to and report any suspicious behaviour, in order to ensure that all areas including non-public areas (e.g. apartment blocks, service yard, passageways) of the development are secure.

Have general understanding of health & safety requirements in order to effectively check all common areas, and report any hazards, defects and raise any concerns with the DM / PM.

You are required to respond to out of hours emergencies.

Issue keys to residents and contractors whenever required, maintain the key log updated at all times.


Please note that it is your responsibility to keep the reception area, lifts, stairs, the entrance of the building and grounds clean, free of clutter and free of obstructions at all times.

You are required to vacuum the carpets as and when necessary, and carry out litter picking every morning. If you happen to find any damaged equipment or misplaced hazardous items please notify the DM as soon as possible.

Previous experience working in luxury residential apartments or 4/5* hotels would be desirable.

The successful candidates must be able to provide excellent references and be willing to undergo full vetting check
