Job Description

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Head Concierge/Building Manager to work at a luxury residential scheme based in South London. Shift pattern is Monday to Friday, working from 07.00am - 15.00pm

Manage the concierge team including arranging cover as necessary to cover staff absences as well as initially dealing with staff issues
Supervise all small works and ongoing contracts to include cleaners, waste removal, facilities management, lift contractor etc
Ensure records of attendance and testing are kept up to date
Program and issue of swipe cards
Safe handling of residents keys
Maintain a list of all residents current contact details
Basic understanding of IT (Microsoft office, mail merges, basic computer and CCTV equipment)
Liaise with Managing Agent
Daily site patrols and being confident to deal with issues that arise such as residents personal belongings left in common parts, issues with cleaners, contractors etc. escalating to managing agent if issues are not resolved
Ensuring inventory is taken of common parts prior to any alteration works being undertaken within the flats
Ensuring protection of common parts during any refurb works/residents moving in and out/large deliveries
Build and maintain relationships with commercial units ensuring a constant dialogue is open and any issues are resolved asap
Ensuring all new residents to the building are provided with the Building Manual
Ensuring all visitors to the building are aware of the emergency procedures
Instructing contractors for small works
Updating the notice board with relevant information for residents
Adhere to Health & Safety procedures as well as ensuring all other staff do
Ongoing training of porters including temporary cover agency staff


The successful candidate must have similar experience from working in luxury residential apartments or 5* hotels.
Candidates need to have a hands on approach to their work, have good communication skills, good time management skills, be able to carry out various tasks at the same time and have common sense.

Candidates must be able to provide excellent references and be willing to undertake a full DBS check.
