Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a Part-Time Concierge to work at a luxury residential apartment building in the West End. Hours of work are 08:00-12:00, working from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
- Meet and greet the residents and answer enquiries by telephone or from callers to the desk. Assist the residents, guests and visitors when required.
- Ensuring that the highest levels of customer care and service are maintained at all times. Deal effectively with complaints, take the correct action and remain courteous at all times.
- Ensure effective security of residents and the building at all times including manning any CCTV.
- Check and screen all visitors and any contractor staff, ensuring that they have permission to be present in the building. Report any suspicious/unusual behaviour, calling the police if necessary.
- Carry out regular patrols of the entire building and report any faults and/or security breaches found to the Property Manager.
This will include the inspection of all plant/equipment on site to ensure it is all in working order. This includes the fire alarm system, CCTV and access control systems.
- Ensure the tidiness of the common areas of the building and assist with the cleaning of the reception area and other areas of the building, when required, outside the cleaner's normal working hours/days.
- Ensure correct reporting of any security/Health & Safety issues, incidents and complaints. Taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency.
- During evacuations, assist emergency response teams in assessing building condition, shutting off utilities, vacating premises.
- Issuing of keys only to correct personnel/residents whilst recording at all times the signing in and out of keys. There is a clear procedure for keys in place that must be used at all times.
- Responsibility for all deliveries to the main reception desk, receiving and safekeeping of all parcels/registered mail. - Correct issuing of all parcels/registered mail with a record which must be signed by residents. Notify residents of any deliveries to arrange collection from the front desk. There is a clear procedure for parcels that must be used at all times.
- Remove and dispose of any junk mail.
- Be able to give a clear and concise handover at the end of the shift, highlighting any events that have occurred and forthcoming events. Concierge will be expected to fill out a handover sheet during their shift which will detail any occurrences throughout the day. This will then need to be emailed over to the Property Manager at the end of each shift.
- Maintain a clean and smart appearance at all times. Be pleasant and helpful to residents, guests and contractors at all times.
- Issue/program fobs/entry codes/keys for residents when payment has been confirmed by the managing agents.
- Take out the bins from the bin store and present for collection to the Council in special timings.
- Deliver notification letters to tenants from the managing agents as and when required.
- Liaise with contractors where necessary and ensure that works are being carried out as specified.
- Where a tenant is moving in or moving out, assist where possible and ensure that removal men/contractors do not overload the lift.
- Ensure that the property is clean, tidy and secure at all times.
- Ensure that the appropriate person at the managing agents and the residents on site are kept fully informed of any situation that may affect them at all times.
- Liaise with authorities such as the Police when an incident occurs on site.

Previous experience working in luxury residential buildings is essential. The successful candidate must be able to provide excellent references and be willing to undergo full vetting checks.
