Portfolio Manager

Are you an experienced Lettings Manager or Head of Property Management looking for your next opportunity? Do you have the expertise to manage a diverse residential property portfolio while leading a team in a fast-paced office environment?

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 5 in the leasing and management of both residential and commercial rental properties. You will play a key part in driving lettings enquiries, conducting property inspections, negotiating tenancy terms, compiling tenancy agreements, managing inventories and inspections, managing maintenance works, check ins, check outs and deposit returns, and ensuring compliance with the latest regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid background in lettings and property management who thrives in a leadership position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee AST (Assured Shorthold Tenancy) leases, renewals, and commercial leases.
  • Conduct property inspections and manage rent reviews and increases.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the lettings office and lead the team.
  • Ensure full compliance with property management laws and regulations.
  • Take charge of managing a portfolio of properties, including blocks of flats, for both in-house and third-party clients.
  • Help drive business growth by sourcing and onboarding new properties.
  • Support staff development and ensure team objectives are met.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the property rental sector.
  • Strong knowledge of current and upcoming laws and regulations in both residential and commercial lettings.
  • Experience managing blocks of flats, including knowledge of relevant legal requirements.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and office operations effectively.
  • Proficient in ALTO and comfortable with general computer software.
  • Highly organised with strong time management and communication skills.
  • Proactive in bringing in new properties to grow the business.
  • Must hold a valid UK driving license.
