One of our clients are looking for a reliable and hardworking Caretaker to join their team and take care of their property.
You will be responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and securing the communal areas, as well as performing minor repairs and light changes. You will also ensure that the property is safe and comfortable for our residents and visitors.
About the role:
- £30,000 - £35,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
- 40 hours per week, with some flexibility - Monday to Friday

Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean the communal areas, such as hallways, staircases, using appropriate equipment and products
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, painting etc.
- Monitor the security of the property, such as locking and unlocking doors, windows, and gates, setting and resetting alarms, and reporting any suspicious activities or incidents
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers, and supervise their work when necessary
- Manage the inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies, and order more when needed
- Report any damages, defects, or malfunctions to the property manager
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and policies
- Handle any complaints, requests, or feedback from the residents or visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Assist with the organisation and preparation of events, such as meetings
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Caretaker, or Site Manager, or in a similar role
- Knowledge of basic cleaning and maintenance techniques and tools
- Ability to perform minor repairs and light changes
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and best practices
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
