- Description
Our Client is looking for an experienced Building Maintenance and Electrical Supervisor to work at a Luxury Development in Westminster.
Rota: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm. Flexibility on weekends.
Main Duties:
- Electrical tasks, including overseeing the building electrical system and PAT testing and in compliance with prevailing building regulations, have the ability to deal with circuit breakers and trip switches
- IT competent to allow monitoring and operation of BMS system
- Basic engineering knowledge to facilitate working with in-house boilers; pumps; generators; air conditioning systems; heating and water systems.
- Diarised checks of all building systems and compliance with Health and Safety guidelines
- Occasional carpentry, painting and decorating.
- Reactive and proactive maintenance to a Grade 1 Listed Heritage Property as part of a small team.
- Basic plumbing
- Liaise with and, overseas outside specialist contractors.
- A willingness to cover the roles of other staff members when called upon to do so.
- A willingness to mentor and supervise other members of the maintenance staff.
- A positive approach to team working.
- All of the above will be done to support the Building Managers and under their direction where necessary.
- It would be seen as an advantage if the candidate had experience of working in a Heritage Property or large building setting, but this is not essential.
Person Specification
- The ability to carry out work with a high level of accuracy, ensuring attention to detail and effective management of time.
- The ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
- This is a physically demanding role and thus the right person needs to have a high level of stamina and be capable of moving heavy items.
- Manage and prioritise a wide range of tasks and duties, both complex and routine.
- Having a welcoming and helpful approach when dealing with visitors to the building.
- Experience in facility management in a similar environment would be an advantage.
- You must be a team player.
